What CareFinder does

The site publishes plain-language guides and selected provider-information tools. It may link to government agencies, insurers, and facilities so visitors can confirm a current detail with the source responsible for it.

What CareFinder does not do

CareFinder does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, emergency dispatch, legal advice, individualized insurance advice, coverage determinations, or guarantees of provider availability or plan participation. We do not claim to publish every U.S. destination or every provider.

Corrections and accountability

Readers may report a factual concern, a broken source link, or a translation concern at info@carefinder.info. The Editorial Policy explains source selection, review dates, corrections, and the limits of the site’s content.

What happens when sources disagree

A provider, insurer, public agency, and visitor can describe the same topic differently because they are answering different questions or using information from different dates. CareFinder does not choose a personal winner in that disagreement. For a current service or appointment question, the facility is the relevant source. For a benefit or processed claim, the insurer and plan documents are the relevant sources. For a public rule, start with the responsible agency.

When an external source changes, CareFinder may update, clarify, or remove its own summary when supported by review. It does not control third-party directories, records, claims, or websites. Pages therefore state their limits and review date instead of presenting an external fact as permanent. Visitors should confirm a time-sensitive detail directly before making a non-emergency decision.
