PATIENT INFORMATION
CareFinder editorial policy and methodology
This policy explains how CareFinder approaches educational health, provider, and insurance information. It is a transparency statement, not a claim of medical, legal, or insurance credentialing.
Sources and updates
For rules, public programs, or emergency rights, CareFinder prefers the responsible government agency or another primary source. For provider and insurer information, the facility or insurer is the source to confirm the current detail. Pages identify a last-updated date; a date is not a guarantee that a third party has not changed information afterward.
CareFinder uses AI-assisted drafting and translation for some educational articles. Linked sources let readers check the underlying guidance, but source citations and automated checks are not professional clinical, legal, or certified-translation review. We do not invent expert authors, reviewer credentials, patient experiences, or claims of firsthand visits.
Corrections and updates
We welcome correction reports at info@carefinder.info. Reports should identify the page, the detail in question, and a source when available. We review substantive factual reports, correct or clarify supported errors, and update the page date when an editorial change is made. We do not promise a response time or publication outcome.
Translations, bylines, and limitations
English and Spanish pages are editorial translations of the same planned topic; a visitor should use the source language where precision matters. CareFinder currently uses an organization byline and does not claim that these pages received professional clinical, legal, insurance, or certified-translation review. If a qualified reviewer contributes, the page will identify that real person and the scope of review. The content is not individualized medical advice, legal advice, or a coverage determination.
How feedback is evaluated
A useful correction report identifies the CareFinder page, the exact sentence or link at issue, the reason it appears inaccurate or incomplete, and an official or otherwise reliable supporting source where one exists. Reports about a specific patient, appointment, bill, or claim are not a substitute for contacting the organization responsible for that matter. CareFinder may need to compare the report with the source and the page’s stated scope before changing editorial text.
When a correction is supported, the site may revise wording, update a link, add a limitation, or remove a claim that cannot be supported. A last-updated date identifies an editorial change; it does not certify a clinician, facility, insurer, government agency, or translator. CareFinder does not publish personal health records, private account details, or unverified allegations as part of a correction process.
